Water on Mars
By Alex
Our video was about water on Mars. I found this topic intriguing because my first thought was,”Gee,if there’s water on Mars, couldn’t that mean life on mars as well?!”So I immediately chose this topic. I was very proud of our process of evaluation for which photos and voiceovers we picked.
I felt that our group worked a little slowly, for example we talked a lot and quarrelled a bit, but we got everything done in the end. I feel that our group works well together and could work well together on another project.
I felt that our group as a whole showed the Ib attitudes Independence and Curiosity. I felt that our group showed these two Ib attitudes because we worked alone completely and we were very curious about how certain iMovie functions worked and we discovered numerous things that made our movie better.

Reflection
The reason that I chose my topic was because it was the most intriguing topic on the board. I found it interesting because I love to play outside and I wanted to influence other people to as well. I learned that 20.8% of teens do not get enough exercise. I thought Aiden and I showed cooperation and commitment. We could have been more serious. We excelled in our sound editing.
How to Build a Computer Using KANO
Building an iMovie project isn’t easy. It involves research, storyboards, the actual production, and peer editing. Here I will reflect on each step in the process. Our topic was: How to Build a Computer Using KANO.
We began by coming up with ideas. Sometimes I struggle to come up with ideas on my own. When we worked in a group though, Tyler had a good idea. It was the Banach Tarski theory. I thought that was what I was going to do, but, Tyler and Ezra took that project. So Parker and I decided to do How to Build a Computer using KANO.
I think that we rushed through research and storyboard. We didn’t find that much information. Even though we looked for a while. In retrospect, we might have looked long, but not hard. We basically only found what you can do with KANO(Minecraft, Pong and Snake) and the founders of KANO.(Alex Klein)We definitively could have found more information. Also we really wanted to start filming, we really only did the storyboard so we could film.
Once we started filming, we didn’t have many problems besides the introduction and conclusion. A new technique that I learned while doing our filming was that you can change the speed of the music to change the pitch. I couldn’t find any big strengths or weaknesses. We really needed the feedback from peer editing.
During the revision stage, everyone said that we needed to turn down our music. Everyone also said it was easy to understand and it was explained well. We definitely had a lot of audio problems. We fixed our audio problems, redid a picture, and changed the music.
I thought it was a really fun project. It was tough to work together on some specific points. Eventually we got through it though and got it done though. I don’t know if we will give it to IVIE but it was fun making it.
